Chief Creative Officer

Jeff Lee, Chief Creative Officer and a Founding Partner in Destination Space and Founding Principle of Lee and Associates, INC, has for more than 30 years directed his practice based upon context sensitive designs of the public realm, applying his sustainably-conscious designs to redefine the urban planning process of communities and cities throughout the world. He was awarded the Excellence in Arts Award by the US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce (USPAACC), along with I. M. Pei and Yo Yo Ma, the largest Asian American business organization in the US. In 2007, he was inducted in the Council of Fellows of the American Society of Landscape Architects (FASLA) for exceptional achievement in the profession. He and his firm Lai: lee and associates, Inc. have won numerous design competitions and awards.

Mr. Lee is a graduate of The School of Architecture at The University of Virginia. He has lectured widely, including TED talk for TEDx, and served as a Visiting Critic for The University of Virginia, Catholic University, University of Maryland, George Washington University, Howard University, and Seoul National University. He is a former Vice-Chairman for the Committee of 100 on the Federal City and served on the Board of Managers for the UVA Alumni Association and Board Member of The Jefferson Scholars. He is a design excellence peer reviewer for the U.S, General Services Administration and the U.S. Department of State’s OBO.
